Should I be networking? Alli Parkinson
Networking is absolutely something that can be helpful in your real estate investment career! Having a pool of contacts who are involved in different aspects of the process can help you get a jump on the next step of the process as you reach it. These contacts can help build your team to help you succeed!
Building relationships with general contractors can help them be more eager to work on your project if they have many potential projects on the table. Building relationships with wholesalers and real estate agents could help bring you deals, and agents can help you sell the property quickly.
Other examples of people you could benefit from networking with are probate attorneys, divorce attorneys, bankruptcy attorneys, mortgage brokers, insurance agents, funeral planners, home inspectors, construction trade companies, cleaning companies, materials suppliers, title companies, interior designers, and financial counselors. There are more, these are just examples!
Remember, networking isn't just exchanging contact information! Building relationships based on common interests or common goals will help build rapport, and that rapport will help solidify the relationship, and give you something to fall back on if things get difficult with a deal.
