Off-Market Strategies and Getting Ahead of the Deal

Today we’ll find out different strategies to start widening your options of real-estate investments. In this episode, we offer hands-on advice to Embry and Nyja, a couple of high-school sweethearts looking to expand their knowledge of wholesale buying, probate houses and other techniques to engage in real estate investment. 

Having worked in an assisted living facility and now a realtor, Nyja is looking to explore the surrounding financial areas of families involved in assisted living, and acquire rental properties. With a few years of experience in real estate investments, a few wholesales to his name and his own business, Embry is also looking to widen his operations and their portfolio. They decided to get into real estate together, mainly for their kids, to give them some strong foundation and opportunities to grow. By teaching them entrepreneurialism and having financial freedom, they are sure they can and will build a powerful and valid route outside the conventional college education box.

Embry and Nyja’s background and real estate experience: 

  • They grew up in Orlando, Florida and they have been together since high-school.
  • They now live in Atlanta, Georgia where they look for real estate and are employed.
  • Embry focuses on warehouse distribution and retail management. 
  • Nyja is a former life guidance director at an assisted living facility and a realtor. 
  • Embry started his own business in Orlando, got into real estate five years ago to get an extra income. 
  • Nyja has been a realtor for a year, more of a buyer.
  • They don’t own any rental properties but they are looking into it.
